Returns: 30 days, unused and in original packaging. Return freight is the customer’s responsibility — for the Den expect roughly $200, as it ships by freight rather than parcel. Keep the original carton if you think you might return it (a 10% restocking fee applies without it). If it arrives damaged or defective, we cover it.

The Den is a wooden dog crate designed to live in the open. It doubles as an end table, with sliding doors on both sides, a vented back, and a secure lock.

Built like furniture

Each Den is handcrafted in the USA from furniture-grade Baltic birch plywood and hand-stained in small runs. The Oak finish is designed to sit comfortably beside a sofa, chair, or bed.

Will it fit?

Measure your dog’s length (nose to base of tail) and sitting height, add 4″ to each, and compare with the interior dimensions below. A crate can be roomier than your dog — the only exception is a puppy still being housetrained, who does better with a snug space or a divider.

How to measure your dog. A is length, nose to the base of the tail, dog standing. B is height, floor to the top of the head, dog sitting. Add four inches to each and compare to the interior dimensions.

Interior dimensions are approximate — measure your dog and allow a few inches of clearance.

Best fit — roughly 40 to 85 lb

Labrador Retriever · Golden Retriever · Standard Goldendoodle · Australian Shepherd · Border Collie · Standard Poodle · Boxer · Vizsla · Springer Spaniel · Bulldog · Bernedoodle · Samoyed · Husky

Also works — 25 to 40 lb, with room to spare

Beagle · Cocker Spaniel · Corgi · Whippet · Mini Australian Shepherd · Cockapoo · Shetland Sheepdog · Basenji · Border Terrier

These dogs are comfortable in it. The extra space is only a problem for a puppy still being housetrained — block off a portion with a divider until they’re reliable.

Check height before you order

Doberman · Greyhound · German Shepherd · Weimaraner · Rhodesian Ridgeback

Tall, lean breeds sit higher than their weight suggests. A 65 lb Greyhound can sit 32–34″ — at or above the interior height. Measure B before ordering.

Too big — over roughly 90 lb or 36″ long

Great Dane · Mastiff · Newfoundland · Saint Bernard · Irish Wolfhound · Leonberger · Great Pyrenees
