The Pad is a modern wooden dog crate that doubles as furniture. It is available in Small and Large, with a clear acrylic sliding door, side ventilation, and a secure lock.
Built for real rooms
Each Pad is handcrafted in the USA from furniture-grade Baltic birch plywood and hand-stained in an Oak finish. Its clean profile is designed for living rooms, bedrooms, and other spaces where a wire crate feels out of place.
Two sizes
Small exterior: 26 in L × 19 in W × 23 in H
Approximate interior: 24.5 in L × 17.5 in W × 21.5 in H
Best fit for dogs up to about 25 lb, subject to the dog’s actual length and seated height.
Large exterior: 39.5 in L × 30 in W × 34 in H
Approximate interior: 38 in L × 28.5 in W × 32.5 in H
Best fit for many dogs around 40–85 lb. Tall, lean breeds must be measured before ordering.
Measure your dog from nose to the base of the tail and from the floor to the top of the head while sitting. Add about four inches to each measurement and compare with the interior dimensions.
Origin: Designed in Santa Monica and handcrafted in the USA.
Warranty: Five-year furniture craftsmanship warranty. Pet damage, water damage, misuse, and ordinary wear are excluded. See the Warranty, Returns & Shipping page for full terms.

Will it fit?
Measure your dog’s length (nose to base of tail) and sitting height, add 4″ to each, and compare with the interior dimensions below. A crate can be roomier than your dog — the only exception is a puppy still being housetrained, who does better with a snug space or a divider.
| Model | Interior (L × W × H) |
|---|---|
| the Pad — Small | ~24.5 × 17.5 × 21.5 in |
| the Pad — Large | ~38 × 28.5 × 32.5 in |
Interior dimensions are approximate — measure your dog and allow a few inches of clearance.
the Pad — Small · interior ~24.5″ L × 21.5″ H
French Bulldog · Boston Terrier · Pug · Dachshund · Shih Tzu · Miniature Poodle · Cavalier King Charles Spaniel · Jack Russell · Yorkshire Terrier · Maltese · Miniature Schnauzer · Havanese · Bichon
Also works — puppies of larger breeds, with the understanding they’ll outgrow it.
Too small for — anything over roughly 25 lb, or over 20″ nose to tail base.
the Pad — Large · interior ~38″ L × 32.5″ H
Labrador Retriever · Golden Retriever · Standard Goldendoodle · Australian Shepherd · Border Collie · Standard Poodle · Boxer · Vizsla · Springer Spaniel · Bulldog · Bernedoodle · Samoyed · Husky
Beagle · Cocker Spaniel · Corgi · Whippet · Mini Australian Shepherd · Cockapoo · Shetland Sheepdog · Basenji · Border Terrier
These dogs are comfortable in it. The extra space is only a problem for a puppy still being housetrained — block off a portion with a divider until they’re reliable.
Doberman · Greyhound · German Shepherd · Weimaraner · Rhodesian Ridgeback
Tall, lean breeds sit higher than their weight suggests. A 65 lb Greyhound can sit 32–34″ — at or above the interior height. Measure B before ordering.
Great Dane · Mastiff · Newfoundland · Saint Bernard · Irish Wolfhound · Leonberger · Great Pyrenees
