Returns: 30 days, unused and in original packaging. Return freight is the customer’s responsibility — the Small ships by parcel (roughly $45–75); the Large ships by freight (roughly $200). The Pad is a modern wooden dog crate that doubles as furniture. It is available in Small and Large, with a secure lock and one front sliding door: the clear acrylic panel on the right slides left, in front of the fixed wood-slat panel on the left. The sides carry the same vertical-slat design.

Each Pad is handcrafted in the USA from furniture-grade Baltic birch plywood and hand-stained in an Oak finish. Its clean profile is designed for living rooms, bedrooms, and other spaces where a wire crate feels out of place.

The Pad's lines are simple and mid-century in spirit: vertical wood slats, a flat top and a clear acrylic panel that slides left so your dog can see the room. It reads as a low cabinet or side table rather than a kennel, which is why people looking for a modern dog crate end up here.
The Pad Small: a wooden dog crate for small dogs
The Pad Small is sized for dogs up to about 25 lb, such as French Bulldogs, Dachshunds, Cavaliers and Miniature Poodles. Its 23 in height fits beside a sofa or bed like a small side table. Check the measurements below, or read the dog kennel furniture guide before you choose.

Small exterior: 26 in L × 19 in W × 23 in H
Approximate interior: 24.5 in L × 17.5 in W × 21.5 in H
Best fit for dogs up to about 25 lb, subject to the dog’s actual length and seated height.
Large exterior: 39.5 in L × 30 in W × 34 in H
Approximate interior: 38 in L × 28.5 in W × 32.5 in H
Best fit for many dogs around 40–85 lb (see large dog crate furniture). Tall, lean breeds must be measured before ordering.
Measure your dog from nose to the base of the tail and from the floor to the top of the head while sitting. Add about four inches to each measurement and compare with the interior dimensions.

Will it fit?
Measure your dog’s length (nose to base of tail) and sitting height, add 4″ to each, and compare with the interior dimensions below. A crate can be roomier than your dog — the only exception is a puppy still being housetrained, who does better with a snug space or a divider.

These dogs are comfortable in it. The extra space is only a problem for a puppy still being housetrained — block off a portion with a divider until they’re reliable.

Tall, lean breeds sit higher than their weight suggests. A 65 lb Greyhound can sit 32–34″ — at or above the interior height. Measure B before ordering.

This was super easy to set up. Make sure you line up the screws though. I didn't have them lined up perfectly and they came through the side a little bit. It is sturdy and fits our dog great. He is a German Shepherd/PitBull mix and it is wonderfully tall enough for him.
It is also very PRETTY.
The small pad was awesome, it is so simple and easy to put together. I originally bought it for my dog, but my cat also uses it.
Gone are the days of hiding the pet crate when guests arrive. the Pad is a marvel of modern design, offering a secure and serene haven for my pet that you'll be proud to display.
Did not come with instructions and arrived damaged. Not as sturdy as I’d hoped.
